Ambroxide Crystal (CAS: 6790-58-5), also known by various trade names like Cetalox or Ambroxan, is a synthetic ambergris odorant. It is a tricyclic ether derived from sclareol, a diterpene found in clary sage (Salvia sclarea). It typically appears as a white to off-white crystalline solid. Ambroxide is highly valued in perfumery for its deep, rich, warm, woody-ambergris, musky, and slightly marine aroma.
